They allow precision sharpening with consistent results. Excellent diamond durability. No lubricant. No maintenance. The plate stays flat. A dry cloth is enough for daily cleaning. After several sharpenings, use mild dish soap to remove dust, then dry the plate fully.

When you choose your option, note that the higher the number, the finer the stone. The black side is coarser. The gold side is finer.
