About / Our Story
Short Track Equipment (shorttrackequipment.com) is a Europe-based short track equipment site offering boots, blades, and gear for competitive skaters. We exist to get serious athletes the right equipment — with knowledgeable support from people who live the sport.
Kip Carpenter
Olympic bronze medalist in the 500 m (2002), Kip Carpenter competed at the 2002 and 2006 Winter Olympics and has been involved in every Winter Olympics since 1998 as an athlete or coach.
Since around 2014 he has served as assistant coach and equipment technician for the Dutch national short track program — a role that has contributed significantly to the program’s rise on the world stage.
At Short Track Equipment, Kip handles European sales, bringing that same Olympic-level experience to clubs, teams, and individual skaters across Europe.
Short Track Equipment
We stock competitive short track boots, blades, and gear for skaters who train and race seriously. Orders ship from our EU warehouse in the Netherlands.
Kip manages European sales. Family in the United States arranges sales for the US and Canada — so skaters on both sides of the Atlantic get local, sport-savvy support.
Carpenter Boot Company
Carpenter Boot Company (CBC) is family-run and Carpenter family–owned. What began with custom boots around 2008 grew into CBC — today the world’s leading stock and standard short track boot brand.
Through Short Track Equipment, CBC boots and related gear reach competitive skaters across Europe and beyond.
