Frank’s Signature Diamond Replacement Sheet
Keep your plates performing like new — forever
Frank’s Signature diamond sheets are the official replacement sheets for Nagano Skate / Frank’s Signature diamond sharpening plates. When the diamond surface has reached the end of its working life, simply replace the sheet and your plate is ready for many more sessions of consistent, high-quality sharpening.
The sheets come with a self-adhesive backing. Just remove the protective paper and install.
How to Replace the Diamond Sheet
To remove the old diamond sheet:
- Carefully lift a corner of the old sheet using an X-Acto blade inserted between the diamond sheet and the Frank’s Signature plate. We recommend wearing Nagano gloves to avoid cuts.
- Fully remove the old sheet using a medium-sized scraper.
- Completely remove all residual adhesive with a glue & adhesive remover such as Goo Gone.
- Once the plate is clean and free of any glue residue, thoroughly dry it.
- Install the new diamond sheet (remove the protective paper from the sticky side and apply carefully).
Available Grits
| Colour / Grit | Best For |

| Black (140) | Repairing damaged or wavy blades |
| Blue (400) | Gross burr removal / first polishing step |
| Red (600) | De-burring after sharpening / second polishing step |
| Gold (1200) | Final de-burring and polishing |
Note: The higher the number, the finer/softer the grit. Black is the most aggressive; Gold is the finest.
